- HolidaysI'm American and have been to about 30 states. I've also been to Mexico (a great place to shop when you live just across the border!), Crete, Spain, Republic of Ireland, Amsterdam (to change planes) and all of the UK. I love to travel and would like to see Egypt and Prague. Would also love to raft the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon before I die.
- PetsRight now, I have rabbits. They make wonderful little pets and are smarter than most people think. I might let my husband keep the rabbits though as he's quite attached to them. In that case, I would get another rabbit or a dog.
- Fav thingA little bluebird of happiness glass figurine my mother gave me when I left for England. She has a bigger one, and she said that was to remind me always that she loved me even though her little baby bird was far from home.
- Fav PlaceNo specific place, but I like being near water. The Scottish lochs are very beautiful and peaceful.
My attitude
- Family lifeI've had my children and they are almost grown now. I'm in a marriage now that is ending, so marriage is not first and foremost on my mind. I would love to have a companion to travel and do fun things with. I've learned never to say never.
- Jobs&WorkingI suppose I'm pretty career-oriented these days, mainly because it's the most stable thing in my life at the moment. My career keeps me sane. I've always been pretty independent, so to imagine not working and having to totally depend on someone else is a little scary to me.
- MoneyIf I had to choose between friends and money, I'd have to say lots of friends. You can't talk to money, and we all need someone to lean on from time to time as well as lend our own shoulder to. True friends wouldn't leave you to die homeless in the gutter.
- PoliticsI fled from America because of the political state it's in at the moment, and I still know very little about British politics. I'm willing to voice my opinions about American politics, but I'm still learning about it on this side of the pond.
